Some small differences but similar overall.

*Neither brand is cruelty-free. Makeup Maven, Kristin, says: These two products (Fenty in Ma'Damn and Maybelline in Rich Ruby) were very similar - both gave beautiful pigmented color (almost exactly the same shade), a matte finish, and lasted for quite a long time on the lips. The Maybelline is actually a bit creamier on application, and overall a bit more comfortable to wear. I'd recommend wearing both of these products with a lipliner because they are so pigmented and because the Fenty bled outside my lip lines just a bit without one. I don't see any reason to buy the Fenty here, the Maybelline formula is fantastic!
