*According to Cruelty-Free Kitty, neither of these brands are cruelty-free* Makeup Maven, Kristin, says: This is the first Lipstories shade I have tried (I have heard about some inconsistency within the line) and I was pleasantly surprised at the smooth application and solid wear time from this lipstick - it was easily comparable to the MAC formula. The Sephora lipstick did cling to some dry spots on my lips, was less creamy throughout it's wear time (although it is a matte formula), and is unfortunately not a color dupe for the MAC classic 'Rebel' shade, even though the pictures are very similar. I am definitely going to try other shades from this range, but I don't think it will replace the classic MAC lipstick anytime soon.
I owned Tan Lines in the Sephora Lip Stories and while the color was pretty and it was creamy during application it didn’t last long on the lips at all. I was quite disappointed. I can’t comment on other colors but wasn’t a fan of “Tan lines”
