Brandefy Review

*Both brands are cruelty-free according to Ethical Elephant. Makeup Maven, Brianna, says: Between the Huda Beauty Power Bullet Matte lipstick in the shade Interview and the NYX Suede Matte lipstick in the shade Free Spirit, I would recommend the Huda Beauty lipstick. This was so hard for me because I love a good deal, but Huda won in this battle. The shades of these two lipsticks are similar and are from the nude family, but the HB one was a little pinker. It claims to be cruelty-free and deliver unrivaled pigmentation with superior comfort, and is crafted to deliver smooth, full-coverage in just one swipe. I feel it did all this. The HB lipstick comes in a cute rectangle-shaped lipstick tube with a magnetic top, which comes in handy when it is bouncing around in your purse or bag. You can easily tell the shade by the coloring on the top of the tube. It retails for $25 and features 0.10 oz/3 g of product, which is a little less than normal. Be careful with handling this one because the actual lipstick did come out of its component! Upon application, it was smoothing and comfortable! I felt like I could swipe on a ton of layers and it would not cake up. I did use a liner with this lipstick and I believe that helped with the longevity of it. It did come off while I was eating and drinking, but there were no claims of long wear so I was not too upset. The NYX Suede Matte lipstick was pretty good. It retails for $8 and features 0.12 oz./3.5 g of product. It also comes in a standard black lipstick tube with a heart that tells the shade color. This is a cute addition to help with figuring out your correct lip shade. I did not have any trouble with the component and upon application, the lipstick was very smooth, but it didn't give me that plush feeling like the HB lipstick. It claims to be vegan and coat your lips in a velvety-plush matte color and paired with the matching liner offers hours of smooth matte coverage that never feels dry! My lips didn't feel dry at all. I also used a liner with this one for longevity, but it transferred a lot! I would not suggest eating or drinking with this lipstick on. Overall, the coverage with this lipstick was just good. If you're willing to spend $25 on a lipstick, I would most certainly recommend the Huda Beauty Power Bullet Matte Lipstick!

CONCLUSION

Very different.
