Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick has 0.10 fl oz and retails for $22. This liquid lipstick comes in 19 colors and has a doe-foot applicator. I tested the color Beso, which is a beautiful and highly pigmented true red lipstick. This product feels lightweight and doesn't transfer. It has a matte finish but doesn't feel or look dry. Because it has a bluish undertone, it helps your teeth look brighter.
The NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream has 0.27 fl oz and retails for $4.55 on sale (regular price is $6.50). This lip cream comes in 22 colors, 3 more than Stila, and has a similar applicator. I tested Amsterdam, which is an orangey-red color. It has a matte finish but feels soft, creamy and light-weight on the lips. It doesn't feel heavy or dry. In terms of pigmentation, it's different from the Stila, because you have to apply two layers for it to look good. It claims to be long-lasting, but it tends to transfer and wear off easily.
In conclusion, even though the NYX is creamier and light-weight, I wouldn't consider it a dupe for the Stila lipstick.
CONCLUSION Not very similar to the name brand.
