*According to Cruelty-Free Kitty, NYX is cruelty-free, but MAC is not. Makeup Maven, Brandy, says: I tested MAC Ruby Woo against NYX Perfect Red and was very impressed with both the texture and staying power of both. Ruby Woo may be slightly darker, but not by much. Neither had a smell, both are matte cool-toned reds that are beautiful especially now for fall. I did not have a problem with bleeding around the mouth, both wore really well. I highly recommend both lipsticks however if you’re on a budget definitely go with the NYX! It was about $12 cheaper!
CONCLUSION Some small differences but similar overall.
