*Urban Decay is cruelty-free according to Cruelty-Free Kitty, but Maybelline is NOT. Makeup Maven, Temi, says: The color of the Maybelline Raw Chocolate and the Urban Decay 1993, while both in the nude matte family were different. Raw Chocolate appeared as a peachy nude on application whereas 1993 appeared as a dusty mauve nude. Both were creamy and smooth on application but dried down into comfortable matte finishes. Raw Chocolate has a slight sweet scent that is not overpowering whereas 1993 has no scent at all. Deeper skin tones may need to use a lip liner with Raw Chocolate whereas 1993 can be worn without a liner by all complexions. Both lipsticks come off and smear while eating and drinking so they would need retouching. Packing is similar for both products: Raw Chocolate came with a frosted pink cover whereas 1993 came in a designed Urban Decay box.
CONCLUSION Not very similar to the name brand.
