*Both products are certified cruelty-free according to Ethical Elephant. Tarte Shape Tape has a very large shade range and an 8 hour wear time. Makeup Revolution is a very similar product as far as wear time, and even the feel and coverage of the product. Because both products are the same in feel, smell, wear time, and coverage, you might want to look at the shade range and the amount you are getting for the price. Tarte comes with .33 ounces and a large shade range sure to fit most people for $27. Makeup Revolution has .14 ounces, with a super limited shade range for $7.
I found Makeup Revolution to be slightly drier vs. Tarte's super creamy formula but I also have dry skin so this may not be a problem for you! If I've got a silicone primer and I've properly moisturized then I can't tell the difference. I also find that Revolution's shade range once swatched runs a bit orange in the deeper colors, so if you've got a cool tone you may need to go for the Tarte.
I absolutely LOVE both concealers. In the makeup revolution one it does dry out in the tube quicker than tarte but they are so similar and if you want to save some money you can go with the makeup revolution one.
Very good dupe!!! Whereas splurging on expensive foundation is worth it (a better product means better oxidation, better skin tone matches, and longer wear), splurging on a concealer just isn’t necessary. VERY good product!!
110% better than shape tape !!!!
I actually prefer the makeup revolution concealer I literally cannot tell a difference. The quality is just as good at a much better price point and is often buy 2 get 1 free. I would seriously buy the makeup revolution one even if it was not significantly cheaper Bc it blends better
I actually returned my shape tape because I felt it was VERY drying whereas the Revolution was not and had same coverage for me as shape tape!! Worth every penny to give Revolution a shot!
NOT A DUPE. MUR creases awful.
