*Both of these brands are cruelty-freeMakeup Maven, MK, says: So here's the deal on these two lip palettes. They are very similar in consistency but the colors are a little different. One is a true makeup artist palette where you actually have primary colors to mix and blend to create your own custom lipstick while the other provides the colors for you. Anastasia is matte finish where the J. Cat Beauty pallet actually has a shine to it which I would say is like a frosted look but not too extreme. The products both come with a mixing pallet and dual sided brush with spatula. The big difference between the two is one is a true artistry pallet where the other you can mix but the colors are by themselves simple and easy to use for those that are not looking to make their beauty routine complicated but want fun options. Both products had the same feel on my lips and yes they are creamy so don't expect them to last long. The price for both pallets are quite different so the truth is you really should think are you an artist that wants to sit and mix colors and make custom blends, or are you an everyday beauty fan that wants fun but nothing too complicated. Both are great to add to your collection but it comes down to your budget and what you want out of a palette. I actually love both, but the J. Cat really did keep things simple and fun for me and I love the frosted look as it gives the lips a pop but not too crazy. Also both travel well and the layout and designs of the pallet are super similar.
