Brandefy Review

I was pleasantly surprised by this comparison. For 20g at $52 for the Tatcha & 21g at $8 for the ELF, I was hoping they would be similar & they ARE. For anyone who could not justify spending the money on Tatcha, ELF Poreless Putty is extremely close to Tatcha. Right down to the look & feel of it. I wore ELF on one side of my face & Tatcha on the other. Tatcha filled in the pores a little bit more than ELF, but both sides of the face were incredibly smooth. My foundation slid on over it with ease and blended out beautifully. The wear time with both was exactly the same. After a 12 hour work day both primers held up. For the price difference you really cannot beat ELF over Tatcha. *It should be noted that Tatcha is considered 'Clean at Sephora' and has an EWG score of 5. e.l.f. does not claim to be clean.

Tatcha is super expensive so I’ve yet to try it. (I do have the travel size cleanser on the way though.) I just wanted to say ever since Jeffree Star compared the two and approved ELF it’s been sold out everywhere. I’ve heard from multiple people that the ELF is amazing especially for the price and DOES compare well to the tatcha. I’m hoping they restock so I can eventually get some!

I have both of these and I can tell almost no difference in the two. This is one of those occasions that the less expensive dupe definitely hit it out of the park.

This is a 100% dupe. It’s all the same ingredients and same amount! This is definitely a great dupe. Smells good and is so smooth

I have used both products and cannot tell a difference. I primarily use it for under my eyes before applying concealer. This combination is awesome! E.l.f. Priming putty works great without breaking the bank! I highly recommend it!

I will always put out the money for tatcha products . Elf does not begin to compare. Plus you can buy the travel primer for $22 , it has lasted quite awhile for me, I will say it’s the best primer I’ve ever used, I have a medical condition that affects my skin an I have trouble with dryness . I’ve tried primers from crazy expensive to cheap to diy an nothing has worked for me until I tried tatcha . I also use their glow mist under for added moisture an it makes my makeup look really nice

This ELF primer is amazing!!! It is my new go to for both myself and my clients. It literally melts right into the skin.

I haven’t tried the Tatcha face primer but I have tried a lot of primers and just picked up the Elf dupe! I am amazed. It really worked so well and my makeup stayed looking fresh all day. I have tried Mac, urban decay, pore professional, and others as well and I can honestly say that the Elf product worked the best for me.

Amazing!!! After reading this review & the review from Jeffrey Star I had to try it. I do own the Tatcha & I love it but not so much the price so I use it sparingly. But now that I have Elf & can use as much as I like!! They are both great products but Elf is great quality for its so affordable price!!

I’ve been searching for this item and idk where can I find it at

I love both of these products but I definitely would consider the ELF a dupe and as much as I love my Tatcha I don’t think I can justify spending that much money when I can get the same thing for half the price

I loveee the elf primer it works so good! Iasted so long

I'm obsessed with the elf primer, now I have only tried the Tatcha once and I unfortunately didn't even get the chance to do my regular makeup routine but after using the elf primer I feel no need to spend that much money on the tacha

I own both and the elf you have more room to work with and build up. I don’t see the fuss with tatcha at all. Go ELF.

The elf putty is a dupe to me. I love it and the price.

It’s awesome!!! Not oily and does not smell weird!! Very similar to the pore professional primer as well!! This is only about $8 at Walmart!!

YES. 100 times yes. Best dupe ever!

I use the poreless putty primer by elf and it works WONDERS! I typically put the primer on first, do my eyes, and then move on to applying foundation, just so the primer has time to really sink in. Honestly my makeup lasts all night and I think actually looks better as the night goes on!

Love elf can wait to grab the poreless putty my pores are awful some days especially living in south Florida

ELF killed it on this primer! absolutely amazing, I highly recommend it.

I love how the elf makes my pores look flawless, however this product breaks me out every time I use it.

Use this primer everyday!! I think it’s great! Especially for having oily skin, it does a great job for me

I use this everyday! Definitely does a great job and makes pores almost disappear!

Identical texture, identical transparency. Elf does not have any smell. Smooths out skins equally good as tatcha. Eye shadow grips great

I find the elf enhances my dry areas and it does separate product a little quicker.

Both are great. ELF is such a great price for what you get.

I think elf actually works better. Which is surprising considering the price difference.

I have never tried Tatcha, but Elf putty has to be the worst out of all of their primers...imo.

I bought this tatcha primer during a Sephora Rouge sale and i haven’t stopped using it since I got it! It’s amazing and really makes my foundation look flawless! But it is expensive and not something I can frequently repurchase - so I def want to try this dupe!

The Elf poreless putty primer is amazing! Just moisturizing enough, easy to apply and stays on. Such a pretty finish!

I have purchased Elf’s Poreless Putty Primer twice and returned it twice. I really wanted to like it. I researched the correct way to apply the primer to make sure I did it right. I have pores on my cheeks next to my nose that when wearing foundation become noticeable. This primer made absolutely no difference in the appearance. It also made my foundation basically slide off my nose. It just didn’t work. I’m an esthetician and unfortunately it’s genetics that cause my pores to be large. It is impossible to “shrink” pores. Only to make them appear less noticeable.

I love elf poreless putty. It’s a win.

I love elf poreless putty. It’s a win.

I love both but Tatcha I love it more

I love this Elf Poreless Putty Primer! I have used both the Tatcha and Elf primer for about a month before I came and made this conclusion. I feel like the Elf Primer does exactly what the Tatcha Primer does. But if saves your wallet a lot of pennies!

I am a huge fan of ELF poreless primer. I have used both, but ELF is more budget friendly and does the same job as Tatcha. If you want a good product, both work equally

Both Elf poreless primer and Tatcha are amazing primers. They preform the same but if your looking to save some money the Elf poreless primer is the one to go with!

Elf because the Tatcha primer makes my foundation run

I haven’t tried tatcha yet, I’m in love with the elf one ! It makes my make up look flawless and amazing !

true dupe.

I’m in love with the ELF putty primer!

Tatcha is ridiculously expensive compared to the ELF dupe! I’ve bought the poreless putty primer many times and love it! I recommend it to everyone.

In the middle of reviewing these and bought both to double check! I cannot tell the consistency & texture apart, both before application and after applying. The biggest difference I note is in the smell- tatcha smells amazing and floral while elf doesn’t really smell

My ride or die primer!! It makes my foundation last all day & looking flawless

Love the ELF primer!!

Love this elf primer, works great for my skin which is very sensitive. It keeps my makeup on all day and it’s great for the price!

No difference except the smell

In my opinion, Smashbox is the very best primer I have used , I am a performer and it holds my makeup through 4 hours of lights and sweat.!i never even have to powder or touch up. But the Elf primer is nice for day to day more natural wear. I am 51 years old and have large pores so I’m sure it would work even better on younger girls with amazing flawless skin!!
