Brandefy Review

*Both brands are cruelty-free according to Ethical Elephant. Makeup Maven, Kayla, says: Dose of Colors Friendcation palette is $55 for 10 shadows while Essence is $10 for 9 shadows. Online these palettes looked quite similar but unfortunately once I was able to see them together in person & use them these are really nothing alike. Although they do have a very similar color story Dose of Colors blows Essence out of the water. Packaging wise both are in similar components but DOC is much more luxurious looking & feeling compared to Essence. The packaging for DOC is gorgeous. Essence’s shades do not last long on the lid. The pigmentation isn’t that great & by the end of the day, the colors just fade away despite using different primers. DOC shadows are pigmented & blend easily. Their shimmers are gorgeous but do recommend a glitter glue to help with fall out throughout the day. Unfortunately, DOC reigns 10 times over the Essence palette. Absolutely shell out the money for Friendcation. You won’t regret it.

CONCLUSION

Very different.
