*Both products are certified cruelty-free according to Ethical Elephant. Makeup Maven, Kayla, says: JSC in Weirdo is $16 & Essence in Blacklove is $2.99. JSC is marketed as a lip liner but is also eye safe. I purchased JSC for the intention of only using it as an eyeliner, because I was struggling to find one that lasted all day on my water line without smudging. Jeffree Star marketed his lip liners as eyeliners as well and stated that they were smudge proof and lasted all day. I agree that his lip liners last longer on your water line than most eyeliners on the market today. But for $16 I wanted to try something cheaper that lasts just as long, and I found it. Essence Extremely Lasting Eye Pencils are awesome for the price. They have quite a few shades in all sorts of different colors. The color glides on well, sharpens easily (Jeffree Star's doesn't sharpen the best even though I have a good sharpener) and lasts for HOURS on my water line without disappearing or smudging. Blacklove is much more black compared to Weirdo as well. Blacklove's packaging is very plain jane, no frills here. Weirdo does have really cool packaging but to me it's what's inside that counts. I was very impressed with this cheap alternative. If you're looking for an awesome eyeliner definitely check out Essence!
