*Both brands are cruelty-free according to Ethical Elephant. Makeup Maven, Kayla, says: Kylie Cosmetics High Gloss in 'Always Shining' is $16 for 3 grams & Colourpop is $7 for 3 grams. Both are in similar tube components - KC’s component is much shorter & wider and not as comfortable to keep in the back pocket. KC has a large doe foot applicator while CP has a brush applicator. I do prefer KC’s applicator over CP's - the bristles of CP’s brush can kind of go astray and not go back to shape. It’s kind of frustrating. KC’s smells like vanilla - it is SO good. CP has no smell. Both are clear glosses with silver shimmer. Colourwise these are not dupes for each other because Colourpop has a blue / teal reflect in their formula while Kylie Cosmetics is strictly just gold shimmer. Both glosses are very similar in consistency (KC is slightly thicker) and feel on the lips. They are both moisturizing (Colourpop uses Jojoba oil while Kylie uses Shea Butter) - do not feel overly sticky & absorb well after half an hour or so of wear. You cannot go wrong with Colourpop’s glosses - they are a fantastic product for a very fair price.
CONCLUSION Noticeable differences.
