Lime Crime Venus Immortalis comes with 8 eye shadow shades and retails for $38. Colourpop Smoke Show comes with 9 eye shadow colors and retails for $12. While both of these palettes are in the same genre and color scheme, unfortunately, they are very different palettes. Lime Crime is more warm toned while Colourpop is very grey and cool-toned. When comparing the formulas of both products I was blown away at how super pigmented and rich the entire Colourpop palette was. The colors swatched and applied beautifully with minimal fallout. I was disappointed in the lack of oomph in pigmentation for Lime Crime especially given the price tag. While Coloupop is not a dupe it is an amazing palette and a great spooky staple. Go get yourself one immediately!
So totally agree with this review. The Colourpop pigmentation and blendability is off the charts. Their products are usually pretty good anyways but this palette was so smooth, pigmented & very easy to work with. They nailed these smokey shades. The Lime Crime palette was less to be desired. I thought most of the shimmer shades were fantastic however the mattes were muddy, hard to blend and not much there. Marble & Ash didn't really show up on my eyelids like, at all and didn't really show up while swatching either. For $38 I expected MUCH MUCH more. For Lime Crime I expected much more. Definitely go with Colourpop. You won't be disappointed!
Wow this looks great. I love Colourpop shadows
