*Neither brand is cruelty-free. Kayla says: Laneige is $20 for 20 grams & Care:nel is $12.50 for 23 grams. Both have very similar berry colored container with screw tops. Laneige comes with a little silicone brush to apply the mask & Care:nel comes with a plastic paddle. Both have a mild smell of berries. Care:nel smells more artificial compared to Laneige but neither smell bad. Both look very similar in the containers and once on the lips they are clear. Laneige is a bit thicker in consistency compared to Care:nel. Neither feels sticky on the lips. Care:nel does dry down a lot quicker. I've used these products a few nights in a row now & really enjoy both products. I think my lips feel much softer in the morning. You don't have to use these at night - sometimes I use them during the day. The tip is to apply a generous layer. I liked both products but if you're wanting to save some money definitely give Care:nel brand a try. It did not disappoint.
I have the name brand and just realized mine never came with a brush!! I’m def going to have to try the drugstore brand, because one thing I don’t like about the expensive one is how long is takes to dry. It stays sticky for so long. Thanks for reviewing!!
