According to Cruelty-Free Kitty, NARS is NOT cruelty-free, and Burt's Bees has entered the China market, so they are no longer considered cruelty-free. Makeup Maven, Kayla, found NARS for $24 and Burt's Bees for $8.99. She says: This comparison is all over the internet as a solid dupe and I definitely don't agree with it. These products do have a very similar doe foot applicator. These products smell nothing alike. Burt's Bees has a very strange smell to it. I was a little put off by it when I opened it. Even when you put it on your lips the smell is still there. This ruined the gloss for me. I wasn't a fan of the smell at all. It smells stale. NARS doesn't have much of a smell. Color-wise these have a very similar shimmer tint however this isn't a color dupe. Orgasm is very pink while Burt's Bees is more peach & sheer. Despite the color difference, they do have the same shimmer undertone. Application wise both products are smooth - not overly sticky & they do not dry out your lips. I did have to dip twice in BB's tube to get a proper application. The applicator doesn't pick up much product. & I truly can't get over the smell! Due to the fact that this isn't a true color dupe and because of the smell - go for NARS.
