Ulta Beauty Waterfall Gel Cream Moisturizer vs. Peter Thomas Roth and Perricone MD

What is all this buzz around hyaluronic acid? Here’s what we know: it holds water extremely effectively and is said to moisturize without clogging pores. It’s used in many anti-aging cream because of its hydrating powers.

If you’re thinking, “Great, I’d like to buy in.” We will caution you that many of these creams are very expensive. We’re talking about $70 for a small pot expensive.

 Beauty sure is pricey!

We tested the Ulta Beauty Waterfull Gel Cream Cleanser against Perricone MD Hyaluronic Intensive Moisturizer as well as Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench.

On its own, this cream is fine… but it didn’t blow us away like the Peter Thomas Roth did.

On its own, this cream is fine… but it didn’t blow us away like the Peter Thomas Roth did.

Our findings against Perricone MD: The Perricone cream had a thicker/ oilier substance to its feel, this coated the skin more than the Ulta. Perricone feels more moisturizing. Ulta smells more floral. Additionally, while they both have hyaluronic acid, their ingredient panels are vastly different across the other ingredients.

Our findings against Peter Thomas Roth: Peter Thomas Roth brand is creamier/thicker and leaves our skin feeing silky; while Ulta brand was slightly more sticky to the touch after applying.

Of the three creams, the Peter Thomas Roth was the favorite and soaked into the skin, delivering that needed moisture.
