Equate beauty vs. Biolage

EquateBeautyColorCareReview

Packaging: B (equally functional but not as pretty)

Ingredients: A (extremely similar)

Smell: A (testers can't tell the difference)

Look of product: B (visible difference in translucency)

Feel after using: A (Hair feels the same)

After testing the Equate Version of Biolage Matrix ColorLast, we gave the dupe an overall A rating. Minor differences in look of the products didn't change how it made our hair feel. Note that Biolage may have recently changed their formulation - so make sure that we are comparing this to the Biolage Formula you know and love.

The equate version is both more shiny and translucent.

The equate version is both more shiny and translucent.

All of the italicized ingredients are fragrances. They could theoretically be used also in the Equate version but just listed in the general bucket "fragrance," which may be why we can't tell the difference.
