Clorox Disinfecting Wipes vs. Great Value Disinfecting Wipes
Do NOT buy the generic on this one. We found Clorox to smell better and to provide more coverage as we wiped our surfaces over at HQ.
Brandefy compares generic brands (e.g., Great Value) to name brands (e.g., Clorox) to show you when the generic is as good as the name brand, and to warn you when it is not. Our goal is to help you save time and money, and to have a good time while doing it.
It is the height of flu season, and even though Brandefyers have gotten their flu shots, illness has fallen over our office... yuck! It was time to disinfect HQ. We stocked up on goods (more posts to come) and cleared surfaces to start wiping.
The packaging was similar, but the similarities end there. We took one of each wipe out and laid them side-by-side. The Great Value (Walmart) brand smelled greatly of chemicals, while Clorox had a fresh lemony-smell. Additionally, the Great Value wipe was thin and torn. The Clorox wipe was thick, and had more cleaning product on it. We found this helped for an easy spread across our counters, covering more space per wipe. We had to really work the Great Value wipe to cover the same amount of area.
Sorry, Great Value, but when we're sick, we want clean-up to be as efficient as possible!
